Berlin-based energy startup ALVA Energie has successfully closed its first funding round, securing €5.2 million to scale its decentralized energy solutions. The 2024-founded company specializes in tenant solar power systems, offering comprehensive services from planning to operation.

According to information from Brandenburg Kapital's press release, the funding round attracted notable investors including Württembergische Energie GmbH, Brandenburg Kapital GmbH (a subsidiary of Brandenburg's Investment Bank), and the European Social Innovation and Impact Fund (ESIIF). Several business angels from the better ventures network also participated, bringing expertise from energy and real estate sectors.

ALVA provides residential and commercial property owners with end-to-end solar solutions through its vertically integrated business model. The startup has already successfully implemented over 50 projects since its founding just 18 months ago, achieving profitable million-euro revenue growth.

"We've proven the enormous potential in comprehensive, decentralized energy solutions," said Cecil von Croy, Co-Founder and CEO of ALVA Energie. The company plans to double its project portfolio by year-end, targeting nearly 6,000 tons of CO2 emissions savings.

The fresh capital will fuel expansion of ALVA's 360-degree approach, covering project conception, installation, and ongoing operations. The startup serves both private owners and larger real estate companies across Germany, offering flexible roof lease, equipment lease, or supply chain operator models.

Under its KARLSSONN brand, ALVA directly supplies tenants with locally produced green electricity. Binh Vu, Investment Manager at Brandenburg Kapital, highlighted the significant potential in tenant solar power for cost-effective, sustainable urban energy supply.

The funding positions ALVA to capitalize on Germany's growing demand for decentralized solar solutions while contributing to the country's energy transition goals.
